One Rainy Day…

I got into a car accident :(

Not the first but definitely the most traumatizing one so far.

It was raining heavily & my brakes didn’t work.

Thank God my car wasn’t damaged but I can’t say the same for the uncle who was driving the other car. MERCEDES BENZ some more. How can I ever afford to pay him for the damages? He was angry but calm. He asked for my drivers license, IC number, phone number, etc. My phone was damaged by the rain and I couldn’t contact my parents or anyone. After looking at my IC, the uncle said that it’s okay. He’ll let it slide although his car was damaged. I feel so, so sorry but grateful.

Thank You God for protecting me. Thank you Mr. Chai.

God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
Courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Amen.

AD352: Post-Project02-Ramblings

Finally got out of a three-day-no-sleep period & I’ve learned some stuff over the past week whilst completing that particular project. They could be of some use to me in the coming few weeks as I complete the FINAL project of my study life.

1. Keeping things smart & simple from now on & to finalize everything at least 2 weeks before presentation day.

2. NEVER EVER design something that involves light/electricity again.

3. Focus on one thing before starting another. Juggling between the two does not help! You’ll just end up with two incomplete work. This time, I actually started on my model before the boards, hoping to photograph the model and incorporating it into my boards. However, the process of wiring the model took much, much longer than expected. After moments of contemplation, I finally decided to just toss the presentation boards aside and just complete a kick-ass model, praying hard that I’d get away with not having boards for my presentation. I did :)

4. I actually did not need coffee to stay awake.
